Edward van de Vendel writes for children and young adults: novels, poetry, picture books, non-fiction, and song lyrics. His books have won awards in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and France, and he has twice been nominated for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award (2011/2012), and once for the Hans Christian Andersen Award (2018).
